Rubber conveyor belt length on drum
Sometimes it is useful to calculate the length of a conveyor rubber belt wound on a roll. It is often an old tire unmounted from and wound from a belt conveyor.
Enter 4 main parameters
- Inner drum diameter d
- Conveyor belt thickness s
- Number of coils N
- Angle between final coil and end of rubber belt α
Example: All parameters should be considered for further calculations. On this picture above, we have coiled conveyor rubber belt on a wooden drum (d). Pay attention to the order of measurement operations.
Warning
The final coil is not calculated in the number of coils, except if it is matching with the end of the first coil. In that case the final coil angle is 0.
